Using the in-built accelerometer, the watch monitors your sleep pattern, by analyzing your tosses and turns while you are sleeping. Thus, watch is able to identify the time when you are in a light sleep. If you are in a light sleep within your wake up window time, then the alarm will go off and you will wake up more refreshed than if you were in a deep sleep and are woken up by a blaring alarm clock. If it happens that you don’t experience a light sleep state during the wake-up time window, the watch’s alarm will go off at the regular alarm time. The alarm in the Sleeptracker Pro can be set to chime, vibrate, or both. I would recommend the vibrate option for medium sleepers as it can easily wake one up. Heavy sleepers, on the other hand, would want to set it to the chime and vibration mode. The alarm vibration is not a jarring vibration, but is enough to wake one up from a light to medium sleep. Even the chime is not at all noisy.
Software is provided along the Sleeptracker Pro that allows you to upload your sleep pattern data. It is a cool feature, but the problem herein is that the watch saves only one night’s data. So, you will have to be diligent about connecting the watch to your computer every morning.
